She giggles rather foolishly, then nods, watching him go. She cocked her head anxiously. What if whomever he brought back was better than her? What if she was no longer his favorite? These thoughts burned her closed mind, and jealousy raged. She would have to be top dog then, and no other would stand in her way. She would bear his first foals, lead his others faultlessly. She nodded. This was good. Very good.
