ITV Digital's Monkey 'to get own TV series'

ITV Digital's Monkey is to get his own TV series.
Monkey and Al, who is played by Johnny Vegas in the adverts, are to appear in their own sketch show later in the year.

It is thought the show will be broadcast on ITV1 so more viewers can see them.

There is also talk of a possible single, reports the Daily Record.

A spokesman for the advertising firm that came up with the idea of Monkey said: "During rehearsals for the ads, it started looking more likely that Monkey would be picked up by the public.

"We knew there could be spin-offs."
