  • I don't see the rule changes that Calgary made as bowing to the AR's, but rather streamlining the event for the benefit of both the cowboys and animals. Nobody wants their stock hurt, and nobody wants to be waved out because a calf kicked free at 5.9 seconds either. Those new rules were made by the cowboys and approved by the committee.   • Did they change the roughing rule a little in the calf roping. I thought I saw a few calves get jerked down on their side and was given a time, where last year they were flagging them out. I did see they flagged out one roper when he figurated the tail. But in the Final 4 Tyson was not flagged out for figurating a tail, which I thought he made a heck of a run with an 8.3 with that kind of catch. (NT) -- Varmit, 10:05:40 07/25/09 Sat
