  • John Wayne plus many more would react that way. How does a movie win awards? Is it by attendence or voted on by Hollywood? I didn't know there were that many fags out there to make that movie popular. (NT) -- Hap, 12:13:45 01/19/06 Thu
  • *Sigh* the poor Duke, He's probably glad he's no longer part of the scene along with rolling in his grave! Movies & TV programs win awards based on votes from commitees. Now comes what my mother called the narcissistic part. The committees are made up of people involved in the film industry. They make their decisions at the end of the year after being flooded by press packages from very said movie or TV shows in the running for the award. The press package does sometimes include more than just press. You know invites to that premier go a long way to garner awards. Lots and lots politics & rubbing elbows involved in winning!
