Subject: Starbucks Again.....

Starbucks has NHSRA's support:

Let’s all take a minute to show our support of Starbucks for their support of rodeo and assure them of the care and treatment that is provided to livestock used in rodeos. We cannot stand by and let another sponsor go by the way side from an attack by animal rights organizations without fighting back. Visit the website listed below and then send a response to Starbucks with a positive message and thanks for their support. I am sending animal welfare information to Starbucks corporate offices from the NHSRA. But we all need to show our support of that company and let them know rodeo does care about its animals and its sponsors.

Thanks,

Kent L. Sturman, Executive Director

Subject: Save Rodeo, Fight Back Against www.buckstarbucks.com

First I want to apologize for this unsolicited email but I wanted to ask for your help.

I work for Starbucks Coffee and we have recently been targeted by a radical group called SHARK (sharkonline.org) and they are slamming us with emails and calls complaining about some very limited sponsorships by us of some local rodeo related events. Though my company has been very supportive thus far, I'm concerned due to the volume of contacts by SHARK against us and virtually no contacts by Rodeo folks in support, they may change their minds.

Please go to www.buckstarbucks.com to see what they are saying and how they are driving contacts to us by phone and by email. Perhaps you can use the same links to email your support. The protesters from SHARK have been outside our corporate offices the past two days handing out fliers to us as we left the office, trying to get our employees to exert pressure from the inside.

Now I realize our company doesn't sponsor rodeos in a big way and likely never will, but we are getting so many contacts from this organization, that I am concerned we may soon change our policies. If they are successful in their efforts, I'm concerned they will just move on to other corporations to try and cut off any funding for rodeos. I love rodeos and would hate to see this happen.

I have not included my name, because I'm concerned about how it may affect my continued employment here, if we do begin to get a lot of emails. I do hope you take this seriously and don't just delete it as spam.

Thank you and please spread the word to your associates.
