I never did make it down there. I was planning to go but spent all day at a junior rodeo in the other arena right next to where it was held and it didn't get over till after eight so I came on home. There was another one at Rio Rancho which is less than 150 miles from here so that helped bring some better contestants in looks like. I heard good things about it and also heard Friday night slack after lasted till almost 5 in the morning. -- RODEO RAMBLINGS

If gas prices stay low, and they should be alot lower then they are right now. I heard they investigating that. Anyways, they should have plenty of contestants for awhile. With cattle prices the way they are down here I imagine guys are going to go a little more to try and make some money. I think Odessa had 200 more contestants then last year.
