Hi, folks--

I really am plumb tickled to find this online rodeo forum. It's been a while (years) since I've had much contact with rodeo people other than a few relatives; watching it on TV doesn't count. Anybody who knows me from the old days: I'd like to hear from you if you have the time to write. Probably best to do that through my website at

In case you're wondering if I'm the RIGHT Fred Baker, since I now live in Colorado, The Old Days refers to the late 1950's through the 1960's: Rough stock at high school and amateur rodoes in Western Montana, college rodeo via the Northern Montana College rodeo team, and of course the RCA.

- Hi Fred. How far did you wander out of Montana in the RCA? I was young back then but was raised on the road. Spent a bunch of time in Wyoming, Nebraska the whole month of August, Dakotas on over to Michigan during the summer months. Went to college in Sheridan starting in 1972.
