In reply to: ZD 's message, "How come it is that only Fried Twinkies is the only blog talkin' about the PBR selling control? Remember when we were talking about PRCA getting in a mess and I compared them to a CoOp gin and such. Well, PBR has come up with a unique way to avoid this problem. Cudos to them. I can't wait until they go public and individuals have a chance to invest in it. Just how much market is out there for bull riding? I have no clue but I'll bet it can triple in size of fan base and income." on 08:46:09 03/27/07 Tue

Please forward this request to anyone you think might be able to help us.

A PLEA ON BEHALF OF OUR RESCUE HORSES!

This winter was one of the worst on record in Colorado’s Front Range mountains, with snows starting in October 2006 and continuing through the end of March 2007. The price of hay has skyrocketed to $9.25 for a small bale of hay weighing less than 50 lbs. and prices are expected to continue to rise this summer. Our 16 horses still have the same needs regardless and we are facing grim decisions without additional donations from the public, not to mention bankruptcy.

In this time of great need, we ask for help with the following:

Item Payee Amount Due
Veterinary bill, Fall 2006 Golden Animal Hospital
17575 S. Golden Road
Golden CO 80401
(303) 279-6601
Client ID: 23430 $ 839.01
Veterinary bill, Spring 2007 Aspen Creek Large Animal Clinic
23605 Oehlmann Park Road
Conifer CO 80433
(303) 697-4864
Client ID: 21 $ 692.70
Web site maintenance, 2006 Deckwench Designs
4525 NE 201st Place
Lake Forest Park WA 98155
(206) 368-9421
Client ID: Harmony HorseWorks $ 285.00
Grain purchase for April, 2007 Pine Country Feed
13581 S. Glen Drive
Pine CO 80470
(303) 838-5186
Client ID: Harmony HorseWorks $ 400.00

TOTAL $2216.71

Normally, we receive enough funds from local donations to meet our basic needs, but donations have not come in and in this critical situation we are forced to go to the general public and ask for your help.

You can donate by check or credit card. For checks, either send any amount directly to the payees listed above, indicating the Client ID on the memo line of the check and make sure you email us that you donated and the amount. Alternatively, send the check to us, payable to Harmony HorseWorks, at 13639 Elsie Road, Conifer CO 80433. You can also use your credit card to make a donation with Pay Pal at www.harmonyhorseworks.com by clicking on the "Make a Donation" button on our home page.

Can you spare even $5 or $10? Our horses' lives have been so vastly improved by the good life we have been able to provide them so far through rehabilitation and adoption into caring homes nearby. Without your help, we are faced with choices we do not want to make. Most of our horses are now sanctuary horses that will live out their remaining years here.

Your compassionate donation is greatly appreciated and we horses and humans send our heartfelt thanks! Everyone donating will receive an equine art print of an original work by Barbara Wright and a tax-deductible receipt.
