Subject: I'v learned why everything costs so much

I was having problems with my telephone, so checked the box attached to the house to make sure it wasn't inside the house. Looked up by the telephone pole and the box up there was broke loose on one side and a bunch of wires were sticking everywhere. So called to have it repaired.

1st guy out, comes and patches it. Said it needs a complete new box and also the telephone pole needed replacing. It is a 55 footer.

2nd guy comes out a week later and says its gonna take a few hours, I will be back tomorrow.

3rd guy comes out a few days later and had to leave cause his ladder not long enough and comes back with a boom truck and fixes the box. Beat on the pole some and seen an owl was living in the pole. Calls in.

4th and 5th guy comes out to check about the pole and owl.

6th guy comes out a few days later and looks at the pole.

7th guy comes out a few days later and says he needs to read the numbers on the pole.

8th guy comes out a few days later and says he needs to mark the pole with orange paint so they know which one it is. I am thinking, geez its the only pole on the property that goes to my house. Not a no brainer.

9th guy comes out and says he needs to figure out how to exactly get the new pole out to where it is needed. This was Friday and this has been going on now for a month.

I haven't seen a new pole yet and am getting curious if an achitect will be need to draw a diagram from the road to the pole before they bring it.
