Subject: I read an article about a lady who formed a group after her husband was killed in 911 and said they were trying to implement better laws to protect citizens. They went 4 days a week lobbying Congress. Anyway, she said their main focus is on getting re-elected and issues that might benefit them and they could care less about the rest of the country.
In reply to: Hap 's message, "He said a mouthful in the first sentence. I think the reason they act on something like this so quick is because they don't worry about whether it will lose or gain vote. They probably figure it's a 50/50 split so they don't worry, just go ahead. Any other issues they don't give a crap if it's the right way or not, only weigh the odds of whether it wins more votes than it looses." on 15:45:17 09/27/06 Wed
