Subject: Cow Bells, Wedding Bells and Slot Machines

Family and friends.

Last night Jo and I went to the ranch after I had already spent the day there. I had a Rodeo Assn. meeting to attend and had left my check book at home and needed to pay a wetback that had worked 2 days repairing a portable building that I am making into a feed room.

Mike called and we talked about some stuff and he seemed to not be too interested and said, "OK, we'll talk to you later" a couple of times during the conversation on the cell phone.

When we got home from the meeting the phone at home rang and it was Mike again. He said he and Stacy wanted to come over. I was already undressed and was sitting at my computer in my underwear so I put on some sweat pants and a Mexican Shirt that is over 30 years old. Before I could even get back to the den from dressing they were here and Stacy was sporting an engagement ring.

It seems that a trip to Vegas for the NFR that they had planned for a month or so has now turned into a wedding trip. I am thrilled to death and Jo is quite thrilled too. Stacy was absolutely glowing.

I have always liked the sounds of the bull rider's cow bells as they rosened their ropes behind the chutes and I have always liked the sound of wedding bells but now those 2 sounds combined with the clanking of the Vegas slots are really gettin' me excietd.

The Nuptuals will most likely take place on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 SOMEWHERE in Vegas. There is no further information. The wedding party, friends and family will be staying all over Vegas but mostly at the Golden Nugget.

I am tickled to death. Stacy is little, cute, educated, employed, fertile and likes horses. I like her and I don't know anybody else that doesn't like her. The 2nd time I ever saw her she rode the hair off of my Little Satan on a 10 mile trail ride. It was getting to the point I was hunting for Madonna's phone number to find out how to adopt.

This late in the day it's gettin hard to get a flight to Vegas but I got-R-done and we are ready to go. Coming back, Jo and I will not have adjoining seats from Vegas to Houston but that seems to be the only glitch in the whole deal.

Now if we can just score some good tickets to the NFR this will all turn out to be one heck of a deal.

I love the sound of Cow bells, Wedding bells and slot machines.
