Subject: At the end of June when we sent my calves to the feedlot they would not have brought over $85.00. The day I got the first feed bill the market in the Panhandle was quoting them @ $107.00. Most likely won't bring that now as fats are off some but I figure the first full months feed bill is paid just by the increase in value from being in cattle feeding country. Of course the haulin' ran over $20.00 a head.
In reply to: Varmit 's message, "They bringing from about $1.20 on the low end of heifers and $1.35 on the steers. A few months ago all roping calves were bringing from about $2.10 to $2.40. 300 pounds and up are still bringing a decent price." on 11:41:24 07/18/06 Tue
