Subject: I visited with an old college pal I have not seen since 1959. He's from the Ft. Stockton area and they ranch 50 sections. They had about 18 months of above average rainfall out there before we visited. He told me that this was the first time in his life they had rain and a good market at the same time. I run more cattle on my 300 ac. than they do on 50 sections. You just can't grow much without rain.
In reply to: Varmit 's message, "Looking at tonights radar ( Wed ) I see its still raining in southern New Mexico. I bet there will be some plants sprout up that several generations of people have never seen out there before." on 19:34:09 08/16/06 Wed
