Subject: I thought Ty looked really good on a bronk but was less impressive BB. If I am not mistaken, he was reserve Champ the year before he quit. Check inside if you want to see a poem I did for his retirement.
In reply to: Varmit 's message, "Well personally, I think Ty was at his end, specially in the bull riding. He was continuously looking at the ground and landing where he looked. I think that is the reason he quit when he did. I think he also put bull riding over the 2 horse events, which he could of continued on I think with those successfully for awhile. I don't remember him getting much done in the pbr. And it was his decision to quit. When you go to the pbr website and look at the Billings results, not sure how many events those guys enter even work. Most of the rca guys are on the sideline or maybe at Tuff's deals. Most of the names, I never heard of as being 2 event guys." on 12:55:55 04/10/06 Mon

Ty Murray

It’s time for me to hang it up,
I’ve done all I want to do.
‘Xcept ride some colts and tend the cows
And fix a fence or two.

Got gold buckles by the drawer full.
Some two thirds old as me.
What I value now is time by the hour,
Not seconds like it used to be.

I love the life I’ve been livin’
Just know it can’t go on.
Just need to change directions,
And sing a different song.

If you’re an ol’ college buddy
Or some fan that wished me luck.
I hope you’re gonna’ miss me.
When I won’t ride’em if they buck.

I thank my fans and friends
And family most of all.
Without each and every one of you
There’d be no reason to get up from a fall.

Just want to let you know for sure
I ain’t quittin’ ‘cause I’m done.
Just changin’ trails from this one
To one that’ll be more fun.

There’s still W’s on my pockets.
And spirit in my soul.
My hat’s still cocked just that-a-way
And I dang sure ain’t too old.
