Subject: I'll bet you didn't know whether to thank your brother in law or light into him. When I was a lad one of the punkin' rollin' rodeo producers had a buckin' mule. The mule was never ridden and had a bounty on him. One of the less intelligent local cowboys took the challenge and didn't put a BB riggin' on him. The producer got mad and told the guy to get on or he was turnin' the critter out. The guy got on backwards, laid down on the mule like a mutton buster. He had his spurs in the mules heart girth and held the buckin' flank and rode the mule to a stand still.
In reply to: Hap 's message, "A burro use to come out of the mountains with a herd of horses, and we would head and heel him every chance we got. We stretched him out and when I got off my horse to take the rope off him, I got on him and he ran to join the horses, and my brother in law ran up behind us and picked up both hind legs at a dead run and stopped like a calf horse. I didn't know what the heck happened, but those long ears popped me on the thighs as I flew over his head, still in the riding position. Lucky for me it was good ground to land on cause I took a pretty good tumble. There were 3 or 4 guys with us and they loved that one. Just another one of the ways of amusing ourselves." on 19:21:28 04/18/06 Tue
