Subject: Wow I thought you were telling a joke in the first post Hap. I just realized after reading your last post this really happened... Umm the article I found doesn't say if the women are senile or just really dumb, but it has to be one. I mean who in the heck would let a stranger in their house & perform a breast exam, simply because he had a black bag they believed he was a doctor. Article here & inside http://cbs4.com/topstories/local_story_111132022.html

Lawsuit Planned In Case Of Fake Breast Exam Doctor
(CBS4 News) FT. LAUDERDALE A victim of a phony physician plans to file a civil lawsuit against the fake doctor who she claims sexually assaulted her during a phony breast exam.

Today, attorney Matthew Slingbaum announced he’s representing one of the two victims who was allegedly sexually assaulted by the suspect, Philip Winikoff of Coconut Creek on Wednesday.

The victim is said to be devastated by the ordeal. Slingbaum says they hope to obtain compensation for the severe emotional trauma that will probably take a great deal of counseling to recover from.

The 76-year old man is charged with sexual battery and simple assault.

Investigators say Winikoff, who works as a shuttle driver for a car dealership in Coral Springs, walked up to the door of a Lauderdale Lakes apartment carrying a black medical bag. He told the woman inside he was a doctor from ''North Miami Hospital,'' going door- to-door offering free breast exams.

But authorities say Winikoff was no doctor. And the medical bag wasn't his, but his wife's. She is a registered nurse.

Winikoff allegedly fondled the breasts of two women and then sexually assaulted them after they took him up on his offer.

He has bonded out of jail but has not been seen in his neighborhood.

As bizarre as the Winikoff’s story is, investigators believe the two women assaulted may not be the first to fall for the phony breast exam scheme, and they are asking anyone who may have taken advantage of Winnikoff’s ‘examinations’ to contact the Broward Sheriffs’ Office.
