Useful tips on breakdancing (condensed)
- ALWAYS stretch and warm up
- Work on different poses and freezes constantly, try to develop combonation freezes, try to hold harder ones for longer (hollowbacks, scorpion ect.)
- Start from top-rock, to floor work, to power. Remember, you need the first two, before you get to the last.
- DANCE , don't focus on fancy moves if you can't even keep a beat or link them.
- Try harder moves, such as aerials and back flips on mats or a trampoline/spring board first, until you are confident to do them without.

Practicing Flares
flares are a very gymnastic move, and require a lot of practice and dedication, you will need to be quite flexible and agile to perform this move.
First start by trying to hold your self up with your hand and your legs pointed outwards, try lifting your legs too, try to keep them as straight as possible. Try bringing your legs between your arms (without touching the ground with your legs) and point them backwards. if you have access to a local gym, try using a pommel horse or mushroom (Like a padded stool almost..)
When kicking your legs, try to kick yourself in the face (without actually doing so) and make sure to move your arms quickly out of the way and back to the floor.
remember, not everyone can do a flare.
Peace
Moky
