Blood-matted mahogany legs still had step, exhausted mare ran up a dense, rocky deer trail of the Sangre de Cristo mountain with an uncalmed exitement keeping her eyes wide. She came into a slanted field of clovers and dandilions on the far face of the mountain, where she saw Rioto. Too out of breath to shove much of a greeting, Tigress nickered her "hello" and stood with rasping breaths, open expression showing nothing of destraught -- more of adventure.
