Subject: Hello Troopers

It is a previlege to have served with one of the best units in the Viet Nam conflict.
When I was notified last summer I was on the Mississippi River just below Cairo, Illinois. I had always wondered about what happened to the men I served with. When I was contacted I almost broke down. I thought I was just another GI that the government had gotten rid of.
But to know that we are being brought together makes me proud. I get out my Red Book once in awhile just to look.
People that wasn't there can't understand why I don't like to hear Taps played. Anyway ya'll understand what I'm saying.
I have called afew men, Major Smith, Captain Sineath and more. It was good to hear them.
I'll see ya'll in Nashville, take care
