*Steel's heart seared with pain and he stared at her sorrowfully. He sighed, looking away.*

"I don't think it will be Sobriquet.."

*He answered softly.*

"I understand your feelings about your father... and mother. But you have to let him choose his future, and you have to be understanding, because you know he won't be."

*He then took a deep breath, preparing himself to tell her the rest of the truth.*

"The truth is.. well, my father told me one evening that he loved my mother very much, but I would no longer see her. When I asked what he was talking about, he said her life was at its end. Desperately I begged him to tell me more, but he refused, just telling me to say goodbye within the next week. He looked very.. torn, in anguish actually."

*He sighed, obviously in pain.*

"I'm sorry, Cattava.. but, but I didn't tell my, my mother. A week later he-he-he killed her, because.. because I didn't say anything. It was my fault, I could have stopped him, or told someone! So.. that's the truth. And if you can no longer look at me, well then.. then I understand."

*He looked away, his eyes filled with pain and emotion.*
