Before his eyelids shut he smelled the perfume of another horses scent, he looked around to see the newcomers.

He lowered his head once more as he drifted to sleep seeing the mares were only passing through.

Femora slips away. She does not wish to leave, but somehow feels that she must. She reaches the end of the territory, takes one last look at the only place where she has ever felt at home, and leaves.
