He kept his pace as if the terrain had never changed, though his eyes swept surely over the field which they occupied. Something about it awoke a craving for speed. He was hoping others would be here, but he did not waste breath for the questioning of it. Now he looked at Stovati and almost appologized for his mentioning of eating her ((lol)), but she didn't need to know his thoughts.

"What are you thinking, Stovati?" A question crossed his mind of her former name, though a demon must have put it there. Detruisent lowered his head and relaxed a bit, trotting a half circle around Stovati. He was restless from the length of journeys . . . four hours to cross Sharmishta and another six over Rahul Jagged. That damned mountain, it always tested his endurance and robbed him of breath for the better part of it. Then the question of why he was even going to The Bloodbath. He didn't know, though they could follow the river through all the bloodbath valleys and back to Nerezza, a three-days journey and many herds to meet.

He knew if they came across another helpless equine - or any being for that matter - he would make Stovati kill it, he was still angered over that experience. Possible he didn't know her at all.
