While many people do like this type of book, it's just not my cup of tea. Now, I am making assumptions here, but it looks to me like a book of melodrama or something of the sort, and please correct me if I am mistaken.

It usually bores me, but there are exceptions to everything, I mean, normally I don't like historical fiction, but I love the 'of Guns and Canvas'. Like I said it didn't bore me, so this may be an exception.

In any case, don't change anything for my sake, I'm just a picky reader, you might say. Anyways, I'd like to read more, just in case I have been wrongfully lead.

And if my assumption of melodrama is wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me, but if you don't wish to portray that feeling like it did to me, use something else as the beginning.

And again, you have a great book here, but there will always be people who just don't like the kind you're writing. This time, you just happen to be asking criticism from one of them. Great dialogue, as I said before.
