Wagged his tail once. Eating quickly he swallowed the scrapes in large chunks. He glanced at the man and yawned. He was no-one's 'buddy' but he liked this human and had decided to adopt this human as his. He was already watching one human but had decided this one was okay and decided he liked this one. He knew he would have to train the two-legger not to get overly acctionate, or try to keep him to himself. He was no-one's pet, no-one's dog. He protected himself and people he saw fit for his attention and protection and maybe his love. But never would he submit to the humans every will. He was no leash-lciking puppy. He obeyed what he saw fit to obey. This human ranked highly in his mind and therefore he would love, and protect this human as he saw fit. Giving the man a doggy grin he lept from the chair and began to sniff around.
