Regarding to the meat,it is not allowed to eat any kind of meat UNLESS you are sure that this meat is HALAL (lawful),So ,you can not eat a geletine or any thing contains it unless you are sure that this geletine is from Halal meat or animal, the one who told you to eat it, is absolutily wrong and should fear Allah and not to give fatwa without knowledge.
REGARDING to the prayer:
Allah (S W T ) says in surat AL NISSA,A:[When you have finished As-Salât (the prayer - congregational), remember Allâh standing, sitting down, and lying down on your sides, but when you are free from danger, perform As-Salât (Iqâmatas Salât). Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours. The Muslim should maintain the habit of praying regularly on time, for Allaah praises the believers who, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And those who guard their Salaah (prayers) well”
[al-Ma’aarij 70:34]
If a person has an excuse and he missed a prayer, then he has to make it up, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps and misses it, the expiation for this sin is to pray it when he remembers it.” (Narrated by Muslim, al-Masaajid wa Mawaadi’ al-Salaah, 1103)

The work is NOT excuse to miss the prayer because Allah ordered us to pray even while we are fighting in war.
The only excuse to leave the prayer is:
If one was sleeping or he forgot the prayer ,so he/she ,should do as the Prophet (P B UP HIM) said:Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps and misses it, then let him pray it when he remembers it.
The one who did not pray intentially till the time of the prayer passed ,can not make up this prayer according to the most correct opinion of the ulamaa,he or she should repent to Allah and do extra prayer.
