Alikom Assalaam.
Nothing wrong to recieve survival benefits (money) from the government or from a company.The money you received from a life insurance it is ok to use it because this insurance was not made by your son and you did not pay for that, it is part of the benefits which the (navy) makes it for their people,so you can use this mony .About the interest comes from the bank ,you should count it and spend it in a general charity,because the intrest is (Haram){not lawful}.

SO TAKE THE ALL MONEY,CALCULATE THE INTEREST,GIVE THE INTEREST AS A GENERAL CHARITY AND KEEP THE ORIGINAL MONEY.
