Subject: Shortcoming of Government Accounting

Government financial reports are designed to mislead the users. The Standards Boards classify Tax revenue as anything but taxes in most cases. By hiding taxes in revenue categories such as Intergovernmental REvenues, the government unit protrays itself as friendly to the taxpayer thus avoiding future tax rebellions.
