You see in the dim light a female panther- the Nichae. She is surrounded by young cubs, rolling and frollicking in their young high spirited way. The Nichae growls as one cub strays too close to the exit. Are you sure you want to approach her?
Nyga's partner, Ardromeda has a litter ont! 7 fine strong cubs!!!

"Back in bed, now, Yrani. And quick! Up into the trees! The Ayer are coming!" her mother had whispered harshly, her voice worried and anxious. She had been only 10 years old.
"But mama! I hate this! Why should something like the Ayer force us to have to adjust our lives to it? Why!" She had started whining and wailing, just like a spoiled brat, until her mother, very embarassed, had had to drag her off.
She had taken her best friend Maie with her to try and see how supposedly dangerous the Ayer were.
"They can't be that bad," she had said.
"They can...mama said they come and suck your happiness out..." Maie had whispered fearfully.
"You're just as bad as them!"
"Maybe I'm wrong..."
"Of course you are! Now come!"
"Alright..."
She climbed further out onto the limb.
"Now all we have to do is wait."
"That should be easy enough."
Then the Ayer had come, fierce and full of shadow.
"I'm scared, Yrani. Let's go back."
"Baby! They're not that bad." But inside she was quaking.
One screamed in frustration.
"Let's go closer!"
"Let's not...they scare me."
"C'mon, it's not that much of a difference anyway."
"Fine. But I don't want to."
She had dragged Maie much lower than before, so they were only 10 feet above the Ayer.
"Isn't this...great, Maie?" she had asked, to foolish to admit she was scared witless.
"It isn't it isn't it isn't!" Maie had cried fiercely.
The Ayer had then noticed her, and began to hunt for the smell of food. Maie had cried out in fear, and then-
-she had fallen. "Yraniiii!!!!!" and then the Ayer had reached her, sucking the happiness from every limb of her body as she had watched, climbing up and the whole story coming out. Then had been the funeral service, and she had been brutally confronted with the knowledge that...it was her fault. She decided to make it up as best she could by bonding here.
Nynx turned her head up towards Yrani. What you did was bad...but now you are trying to help. That is good, and you will never make up the bad, though you will stop other bad from happening.
Yrani stroked Nynx's head, shocked at how much this one knew.
"Now how bout some food?"
That would be nice.
