Subject: Sympathy cards

One of my pets recently died and several friends sent me sympathy cards. Some sent emails and I emailed back and thanked them for their kind words.

Is it ok to just say thanks for the card next time I talk to them, does etiquette dictate that I send them a card thanking them for their card???

Not sure what to do.

You do not have to *send* them anything. A simple thanks next time you see them will suffice...
