In the LTOBG video 'release' is referred to in two different contexts.

The first is when Peter Fox says "The release of the right wrist angle during the instant of impact occurs naturally."

The second is when Fox says about the time after impact "An instant later the tension created by the momentum of your movement releases. Your right arm rotates and crosses over the left..."
