Subject: single axis swing sensation

i ordered the IMA video and have watched it several times. i have been performing the impact backward drills with some pretty good consistency. however, when i went to the driving range to apply what i had learned, i did terrible. just about every shot was fat. sometimes painfully fat. i went to the driving range yesterday with my dad, and he pointed out that i was dipping my shoulder (a nasty habit i formed from years of playing baseball. great for generating club speed, but terrible for making contact). well, that made me stop hitting fat, but now my swing feels like its all arms! is that the correct sensation to have with the a single axis swing?
