In my area the average price for a CG lesson is $35 an hour. I would say the reason for NG, IMA and LPG lessons being a lot higher is due to fewer instructors teaching these methods. My suggestion is "not" to take the one day or three day NG lessons, I think it is a waste of money. I have taken both of these types of NG lessons. I think it is better if you're going to take NG lessons take them by the hour. I perfer one on one lessons instead of group lessons for the obvious reason, you get the instructors undivided attention.
I don't know if you're close to the Chicago area, if Bill Davidson is there teaching NG I can vouch for him being a very good NG instructor. Bill is a tall person, stands far away from the ball at address and he can shoot par golf.
