[She glances at her watch, eyes half-closed already, as she waits for her computer to power-down on its own accord before flipping the master power switch. 11:35. A significantly loud yawn interrupts her exhausted frown as she remembers dimly that she still has some paperwork to complete. Tomorrow, she tells herself, smothering another yawn as she gets up slowly, knees creaking, and hobbles, pajamas, pigtail braids and all, to the lights switch, turning it to off and continuing on down the pitch-black hallway to her room, where she fumbles for the light switch, gazes briefly at the picture of her late horse, Li'l Bit o' Luck, as she does every night, and sinks into bed with a contented sigh, out almost before she can turn on her night light.
