Tito promised the Kosovo Albanians Independence in 1945 but broke that promise, so they settled for autonomy. For over six years after 1989 they tried through peaceful means to have the autonomy restored, they were ignored. Then they started to take violent action.
The Serbian people keep talking about the importance of history, so think about the Second World War for a minute. Do you really believe Nato is deliberately targeting civilians? Just remember what happens when bombing is really conducted without caring for the civilian population. Do you remember London, Coventry, Cologne, Hamburg, Dresden? Do you know the consequences of a deliberate attack on the civilian population of a city? In 1943 the RAF sent 1000 bombers to Cologne, the fire storms engulfed the city for over a week, hundreds of thousands of civilians were burnt to death. That's what happens when bombers target civilians.
What about the women and children being killed and raped by the Serbian Police and Military, don't they count? Many, many more people have been killed in Kosovo as a result of the policies of your Government. The Serbian people are responsible for the actions of its Government, as are the people of the Nato countries for their actions. That's the truth of the matter.
