Let us think of the thread which has been erased whilst changing between message boards. Jeanna, as far as I can tell, your main argument was that hate leads to hate. This is something that clearly many people must think long and hard about before embarking on an advocation of the acts of the US recently.
One must think that if Libya, Saudi Arabia, Iraq or countless other countries had done equivalent acts as those of the US since 9/11, they would have been called "Rogue states", and sanctions against them imposed. When American army bombed a prison camp full of Taliban pow's, they did so on the words of a single agent. The US did not check the story, no, they just went in and bombed the place, which was full of Taliban pow's, a few of which were causing problems (directly linked to the style of questioning of the agents; one of whom died shortly after) but the vast majority were in cells of tied up. This is an actual example of an atrocity practised by the American Govt.
I do not doubt for a second that the Taliban regime had to fall, but not in ways like these. The US are now continuing to bomb areas where they think OBL might be hiding, with almost cast iron conjecture that he has left the country altogether and any further bombing is merely for publicity.
You must see what your media is doing to you. Mere images can never tell the whole story, in fact they generally warp and distort it so much to play on base emotions that no-one has any idea what is going on at all, they just how the images they have seen have made them feel.
