Subject: Discussion on the US possible use of Nuclear W.

I thought the discussion we had last week was pretty interesting.
First of all, it was said that the information was found and released and on accident... yeah right! If the government does want an information to be released, it knows how to keep it secret. On the contrary I think it was on purpose.
I really think it is a way to show how strong is the US and it's definitely a warning. But not only that, it's almost a way to provoke the countries that are targeted.
I really feel that the Bush administration is looking for trouble. Before Bush arrived in power, the US/Russian relationships were probably not perfect, but at least there was some kind of diplomacy. Look at the way Bush and his buddies are presenting themselves, seriously? What kind of image is that? I makes me absolutely furious. No wonder Russia and China are not thrilled about Bush statement to possibly use the nuclear weapon against them. Why saying that right now? Russia and China have not provoked the US, right?
I heard on radio about a memo released on the consequences of 9/11. It says that 9/11 have brought about an excuse for the US to reaffirm its hegemony and influence. And it's true. I hope students in the class read international press, and not only CNN, because there is a number of countries who is not really happy about Bush’s statement.
As far as the Nuclear weapon, you would think that "rational" people would learn from history. I thought people had said in 1945: "NEVER AGAIN"...
I am not a US citizen, but believe me, I hope this 4-year-Bush-term is going to go fast... actually there are 3 years left now!
