I take off Laredo's bridle and hang it up on the bridle hook outside his stall and cross tie him. Then I give him a good sponge down and I scrape all the excess water off. Then I give him a long grooming, and he, very happy, gives me a horse kiss. "You big silly," I murmur, scratching his ears. "You've got to be the nicest stally ever." I put him away with his supper and leave to check on everything else.
