The ebony steed looked around, spying the beautiful white femora, he walked over to her.
Indigo oculars shining brightly he stretched out his dial to nuzzle her cheek.
He could almost feel her soft coat, until it sprung into sharp spikes, ready to cut him deeply.
Bolting up he heard the rhythmic sound of raindrops on the ground and he sighed.
Was just another dream, that which cursed him for so long.
Standing up, he shook himself, hearing the water that had formed on his coat splash into the walls of the cave.
Looking out of the stone cave into the hazy mist of the rain, he looked at his beautiful lands.
The trees were lush and green, but something beneath one of the trees wasn’t green.
It was a large white creature; he couldn’t tell what it was exactly, giving the mist and how far away it was.
Secret Storm lifted his ebony dial and whinnied to it.
It did not whinny back.
Instead, it lifted its head and looked directly at him, violet dots that were its eyes gleamed.
Secret Storm reared and whinnied excitedly.
Only his family, the Monarsh, had violet oculars like those.
He galloped madly down the hill, thinking frantically.
My family, my family has come at last!!
Never will I have to suffer alone again!
The aricorn skidded to a halt by the creature, but it was gone; a small flash of white giving the only hint to where it had disappeared: into the tree.
The metallic scent of fresh blood rose to meet his nostrils and he backed up, head swinging wildly.
His horn plunged into one of the branches and held him there; flapping ebony wings frantically he knew there was no escape.
The creature once again appeared from out of the tree; it lashed marble tail and gazed at him with slit violet oculars.
Sharp white fangs glistened in the moonlight and bloodied claws ejected from its blood soaked paws.
It narrowed violet oculars and screamed, the sound so high pitched he had to turn away, but he could not.
The great winged cat had lunged; Secret Storm just felt the fangs sink into his flesh before something touched his mind.
^Come with me, do you trust the Moonchild?^
He had no choice but to obey.
On his dying breath, he stretched out his neck and joined the touch.
He thought he heard someone laughing, but he heard no more.

Chaotic Universe opened his silver oculars and screamed, the scream painful to make.
Pain like nothing he had ever experienced ever in his life clawed its way up his neck and into his throat and everything went suddenly dark.
Once he saw he was lying on the ground in a warm stall he relaxed and stopped screaming.
Lavender looked over from her paddock and nickered to him, concern clear in her eyes.
He turned his head from where he lay on the soft straw and nickered, weakly, back to her.
She flicked her tail tiredly, pivoted on her hind that wasn’t mangled, and limped back into her stall.
Lavender had been run over by a car in her younger years, and her owner refused to shoot her because her hoof had been completely smashed.
She was now older, older then he was, and had a great addiction for carrots.
Chaos watched her limp back into her stall, heard the straw rustle as she said down again, and her soft breathing noises signified she was no longer awake.
The stallion struggled to a stand and listened carefully; boots thudding on the cold stone of the barn told him the grooms were coming.
Deciding he was going to make a show, he lay down and pretended to thrash about.
His groom, or actually grooms, came pounded over to his stall, and opened the door with a bang.
The youngest one, Thomas, walked slowly over to him, and laid a hand on his chest.
Chaos thrashed his legs wildly, and another groom quickly pulled Thomas out of the way from his flailing hooves.
Ferdinand, or Ferdy, walked in, squeezed up against the wall, he opened to door to the paddock.
Chaotic Universe immediately jumped to his feet, surprising the grooms greatly so they scattered out of the way.
He spied the open gate to the barn and clattered out on onyx hooves that pinged on the cement.
He broke into a canter so the grooms couldn’t catch him, and ran down the fields.
Catching the lock of Lavenders gate accidentally with his long tail, he yanked to get free, and opened the door.
Lavender joined him at a limping canter, and set about opening other stalls.
Soon, all the horses were free, running around in a small herd, all except one.
The silent horse of the barn, the one no one rode, but then again no one rode him either.
The white mare whinnied a scream that was like the one in his dream, and broke out of the stall by herself.
Never had a mare expressed such power in this barn!
The grooms milled around, grabbing halters and lunge whips when they had them at reach.
