The Next Morning

Kima: Chelle...Chelle...CHELLE!!

Chelle popped out of her sleep now sitting up in the bed, trying to remember something that she had to do that morning.

Chelle: Oh no. This is bad this is really bad. I'm late!!
Kima: Naw dawg. RELAX! It's just 5:55am. You know you take a long time to wake up. I just wanted to help you a bit. So I made breakfast if you want some.
Chelle: Oh thanks twin. So what we having?
Kima: We're having some BK, so you can have it yo way ma!!

We laughed

Chelle: Why are we having that?
Kima: Why you think? Ma you know you are just too picky to cook for.
Chelle: Oh yeah tha's true. Aiight let me get ready for my boy.
Kima: Ciao!
Chelle: Peacez!

Chelle got up and got ready for Dareon. She took a shower, brushed her teeth, did her hair, and put on that outfit from the night before. She went downstairs to eat the store bought food and waited on the porch for her ride. She waited and waited 'til it was 7:50am. But there was still no Dareon. He had stood her up, again. She had to ride with Kima and Trey to school.

Chelle, Kima, and Dawn were standing at their lockers talking.

Chelle: I can't believe he stood me up!! After all that talk about I'm gonna change and jigga junk. I knew I couldn't trust him.
Dawn: We told you he won't no good when he started bein distant.
Chelle: I know but he hang with y'all men. maybe they all livin foul.
Kima: Naw see my man knows better. Trey knows better than to mess with me like that, ya know?
Dawn: I heard that. Chris knows better than to cheat on me. I mean why would he anyway?
Chelle: Are you givin him any?
Dawn: Naw!!
Chelle: You?
Kima: Naw girl!!
Chelle: Reason enough right there. If you ain't givin him none he'll go somewhere else looking for some.

[the bell rings]

Kima: There's the bell. I'll see you guys in Algebra 2 aiight?
C/D: Aiight see ya Dawn.
Kima: Bye.
Dawn: I really thought he was gonna do right by you from now on.
Chelle: Me too. I guess we were both wrong. But what did I do to get a nigga that was so wrong?[just then Dareon and Chris walk up]
Dawn: I ono but here come dumb ass and my boo boo.
Chris: Hey boo. Sup Chelle?
Chelle: Hey Chris.
Dawn:[kissing Chris] Hey boo boo. Come on let's get to homeroom before the late bell rings.
Chris: Aiight. Chelle I'll see ya later I guess. See ya Dare.
Chelle: Bye Chris. Dawn I'll see you in 2nd aiight?
Dawn: Aiight.
Dareon: Bye. [they leave and he turns to Chelle] Hey boo.
Chelle: Don't hey boo me aiight? I don't have time to stand here and talk to people that stand me up.
Dareon: Would you just listen to me? [Chelle shakes her head no] Come on Chelle, boo 'm sorry. I totally forgot that I was supposed to pick you up. Chris called me to give him a ride at 7:15am and I went to go get him. I am so sorry. It won't happen again okay?
Chelle: That's the thing Dareon. You put everything before me when I was there for you when you had nothing. I mean I thought I would come before your friends but I guess I was wrong.
Dareon: Boo will you just give me another chance? I'm sorry aiight?
Chelle: Dareon you ever heard that 3LW song?
Dareon: Which one?
Chelle: The remix to "No More"?
Dareon: No. Why?
Chelle: Cuz that's exactly how I feel right now. The song says, It's either you will, either you won't. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. Sometimes it's yes, other times it's no. But I can't take it no more. Take your wrong and make it right, just say you can make up your mind. Is it serious or isn't it? Cause I can't take it no more. Baby, baby you keep putting things before me, but I was there for you when you had nothing. So baby, baby basically, it's them or me. Now or never, give me all or nothing. [turns to walk away then turns back around] Think about that before you come talking to me again, aiight?[and walks away.]
Dareon: MAN!!!!![then he walks away to go to his homeroom]

Homeroom was over and Chelle and Kima were in first period talking when Konyeta and Aquanette walked in.

Chelle:[looking at them] I can't stand that broad. Her or her side kick.
Kima: Girl you ain't never lied. [they dap] Watch them try to make a double mint twin joke.
Chelle: Shooo let them. I'll tell them to take that jigga junk to the toilet cuz that's exactly what it is ish.[they dap again and laugh]

Konyeta and Aquanette look back at them.

Konyeta: Oh look Nette, it's the double mint twins. I'm surprised they aren't wearing the same things like they did back in junior high.
Aquanette: Me too. But hey at least they don't let their mother dress them anymore. That was a disaster.[they both laugh] Shopping at K-Mart.
Kima: That's funny when we were little I could've sworn we saw you at the Salvation army we saw you and yo family shopping there. So I'd rather shop at K-Mart then by my clothes second hand at the Salvation army.
Kima/Chelle: Okay!!! [and they do their lil dap thingy, I ono LOL]

After that Aquanette and Konyeta didn't say anything to them for the rest of the class. When the bell rang Chelle and Kima left to go meet Dawn at their lockers so they could walk to Algebra 2 together.

Dawn: Sup mamis?
K/C: Nada.
Kima: Just Konyeta and Aquanette's ugly asses tryna start with us again.
Dawn: Man don't mind them. They just hoes and they just mad that they got rabies.
Chelle:[laughs] Dawn you us off the hook.
Dawn:[laughs]I know really.
Kima:[laughs] Come on, let's go to Algebra 2.
D/C: Aiight.

They walk to their Algebra 2 class talkin when they see Chris hugged up in front off the cafeteria with Quinsetta.

Chelle: Aye, Dawn girl. I know that ain't yo man over there hugged up with Rover #3 is it?
Dawn: Sh*t it sho' do look like it. [Mad] Uh-uh I know this nigga ain't tryna play me. I'ma show his ass somethin and his lil hoe!

She walks over there to where Quinsetta and Chris were. But they don't see her because she comes from behind them.

Chris: So sup wit us boo? You wanna roll wit me or what ma?
Quinsetta: I don't know don't you still go wit Dawn?
Chris: Dawn who?[smiles] Girl, Dawn ain't got nothin to do wit me and you boo. Forget about Dawn.

Just then Dawn taps Chris on the shoulder and he turns around lookin shocked.
