Chapter 4: Kay

[We all ran and caught up to Zakia. She had tears in her eyes. This wasn't the first time I'd saw my girl cry over Omari's ass and I was hoping it was the last. Clara was hugging her and telling her how much she didn't need his sorry ass. I was so glad my man wasn't like that.]

Bethel: Zakia if u want to go, we'll leave.

Zakia: I don't wanna go back in there. I'm not trying to see Omari right now.

Clara: Aight. Me and Bethel will go inside and get our jackets.

Zakia: [wiping her face] Aight

[Clara and Bethel head back toward the house.]

Me: Zakia are you okay?

Zakia: Yeah girl, I'll be aight. I just feel stupid��

Me: Girl you ain't stupid. You just in love that's all.

Zakia: Well, if this is love�..to hell wit' it.

[We laugh a little. At least she was still smiling but I knew she was hurt. I heard footsteps behind us. It sounded like somebody running. I turned around and it was Omari. I stepped in front of Zakia.]

Me: Omari, what do you want?

Chapter 5: Clara

[Me and Bethel made our way back into the party. Everyone was still partying like nothing had happened. Yolanda was in the corner surrounded by her chickenhead friends. She said something and the looked our way. I wish one of the bitches would start something. Anyways, we went upstairs and got our jackets. Then, we headed back downstairs.]

Bethel: Hold up. Let me go say bye to my baby. [She moves through the crowd.]

[I lean up against the wall hoping she would hurry up. Since I had nothing else to do I scanned through the room looking for Elio to see if he was talking to anybody. But I couldn't find him. I saw John's no-good ass grindin with some chick on the floor. Then, I saw him. He saw me too. He made his way over to me.]

Elio: Clara? You guys about to leave?

Me: Yeah. Zakia's ready.

Elio: Oh. Dang, I wanted to dance with you too.

Me: Dang, maybe next time.

Elio: Look��uh, wanna exchange numbers?

Me: Yeah, that's cool and all but don't you still mess wit' Tiny?

Elio: I mean yeah. But we ain't doin to good right now. Tiny might be��.

Me: I know.

[I go into my purse and get out a pen and paper and write my number down. Elio does the same.]

Elio: So, I guess I'll call you later on.

Me:[smiling] Aiight.

FV: What the hell is goin' on here?

[I look up and see Tiny's five month pregnant ass standing there.]

Elio: Tiny, what are you talking about?

Tiny: What? Do I look stupid or something? I saw ya'll exchanging numbers.

Elio: You tripping. [Grabbing her by the arm] Come on. [They walk away.]

[He looks back me and mouths "I'll call you tonight". I smile and nod. Hey, I know he got a girl and all but not for long��..]

Chapter 6: Zakia

[Omari is trying to get pass Kay so his sorry ass can come to me with a quick lie he probably thought up. I wasn't trying to hear that shit. At least not right now. I was more hurt than mad. I really love that boy. Have you ever been like that before? You know, Dangerously in Love. I think it's more dangerous for him than it is for me though. I wouldn't hurt myself but I damn sure will hurt his ass�.. lol]

Me: Omari go away!

Omari: Baby, it wasn't even like that. She kissed me. I don't want that chicken.

Me: Go away.

[I open the door and climb into the truck. Kay opens the passenger door and Omari tries to push pass her but she hops in the truck and slams the door. She almost slams his hand in the door. I try not to laugh. He looked so pitiful standing out there. Even tried to make a few tears come into his eyes. I rested my head on the steering wheel. Where in the hell was Bethel and Clara? It don't take that long to run in and get a jacket. Then I saw them coming out the house. Clara was smiling to herself and Bethel looked like a walking "drunk". They made their way to the car and got in. I speeded off and left Omari standing there.]

Clara: Guess what ya'll?

Kay: What?

Clara: Me and Elio exchanged numbers.

Me: It's about time.

Clara: Yeah, I know��..

[I pulled up at Clara's house. She said her goodbye's and got out. Then I dropped Bethel off. Me and Kay had to help her to the door. Finally, I got to Kay's house.]

Kay: You goin be aiight? Or you need me to follow you home with my car?

Me: Naw girl. I'm fine.

Kay: Aight. Call me when you get home.

Me: I will.

Kay: Bye girl.

Me: Bye.

[She went in the house and I headed home. I blasted Mya's "No Tears On My Pillow" and drowned my sorrows in the music.
When I got home. My parents were sleep. Thank God! I called Kay to let her know I was okay. I layed down and that's all I remember��]

Chapter 6: Bethel

[I woke up with a terrible ass headache. I looked at the clock. It was already 2 o'clock pm. Jarell was supposed to be coming over later since my parents were going out of town. Fizz was taking Ayesha on a romantic picnic. And Clara and Zakia were coming over later. I got up and went downstairs and I saw a note from my parents on the front door. "You were still sleep and we didn't want to wake you. Be back in a week. Stay out of trouble!" I laughed. I'll try to��]
