Absolutely agree with #1.

Then #2 is good, although it can be said in many ways
(don't depend on the dice).

Your #3 is okay, but won't always work ... what if you
don't have a "best" leader (at least -2)? what if you
don't really have a "best" weapon? And finally, where
is the need to maneuver in your equation?

So I'd suggest an alternate #3: "Create a plan that has
some flexibility and stick to it."

And remember ... these go for both the attacker AND the
defender! :-)

Anybody else?
