1. Congratulate everyone you know when they win, even if it was against your child.

2. Be kind. Watch what you say at pageants to and about others. Walls are thin and so is skin!

3. Save your anger and tears of disappointment for when you are driving home and your child is asleep. Children misundertand mommie's anger and take it as they did not live up to what was expected.

4. Be quiet. Sometimes silence IS golden.

5. Be real, it's only a title and depending on who is there competing means whether your child will walk out winning or losing.

6. Undertand it's an opinion just what you paid for and everyone has one. It may not be your opinion but then if it were, you would be judging not competing your child!

7. If a pageant is up and up, the director can NOT work it to your favor if the judges decided against your child. No matter how good friends you are or what you say after, accept the decision and handle it with maturity and grace, it's only a pageant. Do not scream at the director it is not their fault no matter what they said prior to the pageant. Your child stands a wonderful chance does not mean your child is going to win!

8. If winning means so much you will destroy people to take home a crown, rethink why you do pageants.

9. Support your friends on their wins and losses, if your child wins over them, do not rub their faces in it. Next time it may be them wearing the crown!

10. No matter what you think and feel keep it where it belongs inside yourself. To do otherwise takes away from the winners. If you think a decision was unfair or a director slanted, do not do the pageant again. No explanation needed to the director....remember SILENCE IS GOLDEN!
