Subject: Berthoud Pass, Alpine Slide and Meeting at the Hannibal Holiday Inn

We are headed to Winter Park (just 10 min from Snow Mtn Ranch) in two weeks. Always think of our family vacations as we cross over Berthoud Pass. We will get some information to share with everyone on Memorial Day about summer activities at Snow Mountain and in Winter Park. One thing I remember about one of our trips to Colorado was the Alpine Slide somewhere near Colorado Springs. There is an Alpine Slide at Winter Park and, although it will be covered in 10 feet of snow while we are there, I will try and get some information for us. I think that it would be a fun activity for the "older kids" (me included). I will see what else I can find. They do also have mountain bikes that you can rent and take down the mountain that may also be fun (probably "older kids" again -- don't want Mom (and the Moms as a group) to worry too much about sending Sarah or Joshua or Megan down the mountain on a Big Wheel. And I really do think that we should work on an itinerary that starts in Hannibal, or at least Kansas City. We should plan to spend some time as a family in Ness City and/or Halstead and Ellis to see grandpa and grandpas homes and great grandparents graves. Maybe we could crash Pete & Mary's house and play a pool tournament in their basement. Or go to Garden City and swim in the world's largest free swimming pool.
