Subject: Update

Continuing a bit my first posting to both the board and the What's new page since about 1998 (yes, I know it's been ages)... I've got some ideas for updating the site (finally) and thought I'd start this thread as the place for everyone and anyone to sound off on some of them or to put forward suggestions of their own.

Not sure how many of you out there go in for html coding but I tend to hand-code things myself and also to keep them simple (as much as possible). I'm using html fragment files for the bulk of the text out there, which (in theory at least) means I only update the fragment and that updates both the frames and no frames versions simultaneously. Not a bad system.

Would people rather see more synchronicity or more news? More interactivity? I don't really have room to host video files or anything like that. Anyone interested in submitting an article or something similar?

well, anyway, here's the chance to sound off... I know I've been really bad about keeping the Arkive up-to-date, but when you work in IT, it's awfully hard to motivate to spend your off-hours to do even more computer stuff. I hope to have found a bit more of a balance in my time these days now, so hope to have new things to share with y'all...
