yes you are right I am running the same and am able to run no cam avr or if I want to take it to another reciever I can run cam in the old reciever " the only problem I do have is that after taking out my avr and running cam it comes up as card not subscribed but that stops after about two minutes" the card is probably updating I sometimes run the cam just to keep it up dated all works great GOOD LUCK
