Shatoth pulsed forward with another, one of his last surges of strength, and with an amazed rumble realized that Raniath was in his embrace. Not fully realizing what was happening yet, he felt K'tar nudge him slightly in his mind.
You did it, Shatoth!
Came the voice from K'tar, and Shatoth got it. The wonderful Golden Queen Raniath was his, and he was hers! His wings spread to keep them alooft. His neck twined slightly about hers, as did his tail, his eyes whirling, but not as fast as they had been during the flight. At the same time K'tar, caught up in the rapture of the two Dragons in the sky above, was opening his eyes on the ground, turning to look for Hirina.
"Thank you."
He murmered in reply, not knowing what else to say, but his mind was full of thoughts, that she and her Dragon were both wonderful in every way...
