Meaven stretched up from her crouch. So that's what it's like to be tall. she thought dryly. Meaven winced slightly as she straightened into the warmer air higher up. "Heat rises, doesn't it, Dell?" Meaven asked her bronze. Dell made a neutral sound in his throat, lounging by the peek-hole. Meaven wrinkled her nose at him, before sliding back down, back to the hole. Here it was cooler, reminding her of her home. "It's nice right here. And the Weyr's getting warmer!" Meaven observed. "I hope I'll get used to it...." Meaven trailed off. She couldn't think of a tangible, physical way to get used to heat. It was something she would just have to get used to. "I wonder if it snows here."

Dell scampered up a few minutes later. He ran up and down the various weyrs. "You could fly it, Dell." Meaven looked at the bronze. Dell 'shrugged' slightly, ruffling his wings. "Ah, well. Whatever floats your boat." she shrugged back at him, imitating the gesture. Dell squeaked in annoyance before hopping down a few more steps. Meaven watched him, her back soaking in the coolness from the stone. "Make sure you don't trip anyone by dancing around the halls." Meaven ordered Dell. Dell sighed. He sent her the idea that he already knew that. Did she think he was only a hatchling? "You are, my friend." Meaven retorted. Dell puffed up and flew back to her, swooping in to land on her head and curl up. "Dell!" Meaven groaned. Dell snuggled up, and to all Meaven could tell, went to sleep. "Thank you, your Highness." Meaven murmured to her bronze. Dell moved slightly. "You should've been a queen, you know." Dell made no answer to that and Meaven could only sit back, careful not to disturb Dell. His claws were still sharp and she didn't want to wander around with a bleeding scalp. "You are the contrary one, aren't you?" Meaven muttered. Dell chirped with pleasure before returning to his doze.
