Arialna is a fun, lively young woman with a habit of getting herself into one too many Gathers and relationship pickles. A fair weaver, she could likely have any man she could want but usually finds herself in the company, public and personal, with male dragonriders.
Her reputation at Telgar is now compromised as she is with W'menel's(brownrider at Minerva) child. She is only four months along but her mother, Demora, wants her to stay at Telgar. Pasten, her father, wishes his pregnant daughter to be gone to spare him from further shame at her condition and now inability to fetch what he considers to be a 'good' husband.
Before this, Arialna was the beauty of Weaver Hall and now is looked down on given the new attitude on PERN that every child has to be wanted or else the father and mother are outcast.
Arialna and her baby will be wanting to move to Minerva Desert Hold in order to be closer to W'menel and so he can at least be near his child. At least until Arialna finds a suitable lifemate not already Impressed to a dragon and a good father to her unborn child.
