If you don't want to pause the game even thogh pausing the game is the best way to build. If you don't want to pause the game then block the entrance with a picket fence that you will find under the constuction icon and then click the fence icon and then you will see a button (ICON) for a low fence the door and high fences click on the low fencw icon and chose the picket fence the guests won't be able to get in the zoo and while you build watch the guests pile up at the entrance, waiting with antisipation. Only bad thing is the guests still get tired and you can't give them a place to sit down. when you're ready to let the guests in buldoze the picket fence, and watch the guests walk in.
