I trust'd the previous stable manag'r to heed my instructions. Then I got a call last night that the guy bringin' McDougal and Carraigh was on his way. This call came from the stable manag'r. He also mention'd that McDougal gash'd his right fore on stall door and noone notic'd till he was load'd into the trailer. He loads fine for people but something obviously spook'd him. I should have known that I couldn't trust those people to handle him. So they tranquiliz'd him and clean'd out the cut. Nothing major their vet said. Just a minor lil'scratch. I'm still peev'd that they allow'd this to happen as he is a valuable stud rais'd on my parents' place back in Ireland. But I check'd it o'er when we got here and it's not too bad. † A faint smile touches labs then fades. Carraigh had arriv'd fine and dandy if not spirit'd. Jessalyn would get quite a workout.
